In March 2015, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity (Boulé) launched the Community Champion Initiative to support President Obama’s efforts with My Brother’s Keeper Community Challenge. The initiative calls for member boulé (local organizations) involvement in two ways: (1) contact the Mayor’s office to accept the MBK Challenge (if located in a non-MBK city) and (2) adopt through social action the role of MBK community champion. The latter could be operationalized through either the member boulé solely taking on the responsibility, or organizing and leading a coalition of male groups (e.g., 100 Black Men, Fraternities) to assume the responsibility.

Through generous support from the Boulé Foundation, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity is expanding the Community Champions Initiative. First, all member boulés that are participants in the Community Champions Initiative will be provided access to Bridge2Community. Second, the Community Champions Initiative will provide limited access to Bridge2Community for existing MBK Communities and other social groups that want to advance the principles of MBK.
